HannahLike you, for much of my life, I was searching, feeling restless, and trying to find peace and fulfillment outside of myself. I spent many years trying traditional counseling and self-help books to help control my overwhelming anxiety and self-doubt. I had built a good life for myself but was always feeling as though something was missing.

There was a whisper of a voice that this wasn’t all I was, that I was meant to be “more”, but I didn’t have any clue what that was.

I ran myself ragged trying to be the perfect mom, wife, business owner, family member, friend, etc. yet I never felt like I was “enough.” Any achievement felt fulfilling for five minutes, and then I was back into the cycle of “doing” instead of “being”.

It wasn’t until I was blessed to discover Gestalt at a workshop in 2016 that things began to shift for me. It was right after my husband almost lost his life to a pulmonary embolism, and six months later, a sepsis infection. My world was totally shaken, I had 3 young children, we were still recovering from financial setbacks from The Great Recession, and everything was uncertain.

I knew I needed to dig deep and be able to weather whatever came our way. I could choose to curl up and ignore that inner voice, or I could decide that although I was scared, now was the time I needed to reach deep inside and listen to the voice, that whisper that was now shouting at me that this was my time; that I needed to rise up and finally take action to discover and claim my own gifts and to create a life I would love

My inner work with Gestalt was eye-opening on many levels. I finally understood how the disconnected, critical, and judgmental relationship I had with myself negatively impacted and drained both my self-worth and every area of my life.

Using Gestalt and Somatic work, I discovered how to truly meet myself with compassion. This brought tremendous clarity, allowing me to finally tap into my inner wisdom and sense of calm for the very first time.

As I learned how to use Gestalt with myself and others, my relationship with myself grew, as did my inner knowing of what I needed to heal from past traumas and authentically live a life that could truly bring me joy.

I was finally able to mindfully navigate past trauma, loss, anxiety, and transitions with grace and empowerment. I was able to deeply and authentically connect in relationships with myself and others in a way that was nourishing and no longer self-sacrificing.

I felt so transformed that I dedicated my life to this ongoing journey and to sharing this gift with others.

To be effective at this, I studied and became a Certified Gestalt Coach as well as a certified Personal Life Coach. I also enrolled in a certification program called Positive Intelligence, which actively works on training your brain (mental fitness) to stop self-sabotage before it starts. I am also currently in a Masters Program to get my Masters in Social Work so that I can be a licensed therapist and help others heal past trauma.

My approach includes the modalities that have helped transform (and continue to transform and inform) my own journey: Gestalt, Somatic Connection, Positive Intelligence and Mental Fitness, and Self-Compassion.

My deepest desire is to help you find your own peace and inner knowing. I encourage you to stop listening to that voice telling you all the reasons and limiting beliefs that are making you think you aren’t enough. You don’t have to stay paralyzed in overthinking, doubts, and negative patterns like I did for so many years. Listen instead to that little whisper that is nudging you to take a step. You too can design a life you love.

With Love and Appreciation,
Hannah
